2017 Calendar:

Starting Time for meetings – 7 PM at Rolling Meadows Dairy Barn (RMDB), unless otherwise designated.  Board members will try to be available for questions/answers at 6:30pm.

FOR EDUCATIONAL, INFORMATIONAL, AND SAFETY REASONS, THE FOND DU LAC COUNTY 4-H HORSE AND PONY PROJECT HAS IMPLEMENTED REQUIREMENTS THAT EACH EXHIBITOR (4-H AND FFA) MUST MEET IN ORDER TO EXHIBIT A HORSE AT THE FOND DU LAC COUNTY FAIR.  THESE REQUIREMENTS CONSIST OF:  ATTENDING 4 MEETINGS, AND ONE OF THE JULY FAIR MANDATORY MEETINGS (FOR A TOTAL OF 5 MEETINGS),  PARTICIPATING IN 2 FUNDRAISERS, ATTENDING 1 CLINIC FOR 2 HOURS, AND HAVING ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK TURNED IN BY THEIR RESPECTIVE DUE DATES.  ALL FORMS, INCLUDING A COPY OF A CURRENT COGGINS TEST, MUST BE IN "HARD" COPY FORM AND TURNED INTO THE SERGEANT OF ARMS - SCANS/EMAILS OF THESE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Those meetings with a star (*) count towards the required four (4) meetings. Members must also attend one of the two Mandatory meetings scheduled in July (NO EXCEPTIONS!!)  They must be in good standing with the FDL County Horse and Pony Project and their club/chapter to exhibit at the County Fair or to receive any compensation (awards, fees for education, trips, etc.) with horse project funds.

Members must complete two (2) separate fund-raisers to be in good standings with the project.  Members may work at a Horse Project sponsored fundraiser which must be listed on the calendar below or approved by the board, and work two (2) hours at that fund-raiser.  Members may also sell $100 in product from the Seroogy or Pizza fundraisers, or collect $100 in donations to be considered as (1) fundraiser.

Members must attend two (2) hours at a clinic to be in good standings with the project.  Clinics are held at the Fairgrounds rain or shine unless specified. A member may also attend a state sponsored clinic only if they are unable to attend 1 of the 2 clinics being hosted by the Fond du Lac County Horse & Pony Project. The state sponsored clinics can be found on the state website: www.uwex.edu/ces/4h, go to "projects", then click on "horse", then scroll down until you see "HandBook" and click on that.  Further in this packet is the Clinic Attendance Form  that must be filled out by the clinic supervisor and turned in at the next club meeting to the Sergeant at Arms (Andy Swain).  It is suggested that you photocopy this for your own records.

Questions about weather cancellations can be directed to Pam Bartoli (920) 979-9181 or Julie Zimmerman (920) 948-5465. An email will be sent out from the fdlhorseproject@gmail.com address and it will be posted on facebook.
